2005 Chevrolet Uplander Preview -- LA Auto Show: After nearly two decades of middling attempts to market a viable minivan - Chevrolet Astro in 1985, Chevrolet Lumina APV in 1990, Chevrolet Venture in 1997 - Chevrolet is moving to exploit a new niche that it calls the Crossover Sport Van (CSV). What is a CSV? As evidenced by the 2005 Chevrolet Uplander (and the Mazda MPV All-Sport in the 1990s), a CSV is a minivan with a big nose, available all-wheel-drive, a rugged outdoorsy nameplate, and reduced passenger and cargo capacities. Spielberg's "On the Lot" Top 100 Director Alex Ferrari Making Some Major Noise
Since not making it to the finals of Steven Spielberg's On the Lot, writer/director Alex Ferrari has not slowed down. When Alex made the Top 100 of the show and they asked him to create a short film in 6 days, "Cyn" was born. Cyn was made on a 6 day schedule (from script to final output) for under $1000 and boosts one of the craziest end title sequences ever created for a five min short film. Think of throwing an atom bomb on a roach, completely over the top.
